About Us: Whilby and Co. Uganda is a leading consulting firm specializing in the oil and gas sector and climate change. We provide expert advisory services to clients across the region. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Kampala, Uganda.

Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Cybersecurity Specialist to design, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect our organization's computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to protect against cyber threats

Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks

Develop and maintain incident response plans to ensure prompt response to security incidents

Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration and maintenance of computer systems and networks

Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training to employees

Stay up-to-date with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies

Requirements: Master's degree in Cyber Security or related field

At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a similar industry

Proven track record of designing and implementing effective cybersecurity measures

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and regulations (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001) What We Offer: Competitive salary of UGX 18,000,000 per month
